and yes the towel is always cleanWhen i wash my glasses and put them on a towl to dry they always come out smelling like mildew, what can i do?
Sorry, but clean is not always enough.

Sounds stupid, and it is why I did not answer last night.

Mildew is a living organism.

So you need to Kill it to get rid of the odor.

BLEACH It Kills mildew.

Take a day, and RUN BLEACH, only bleach through your washer.

Then run ALL your towels through, with bleach.

Then run another empty load with just bleach through the washer.

Unless you have a new High Efficiency Washer. Then there is special cleaner that you would run through it to kill all these moldy odorsWhen i wash my glasses and put them on a towl to dry they always come out smelling like mildew, what can i do?
What kind of dish soap do you use? Try some baking soda in your dish water, then put your glasses in a dish rack after you wash them so the air can get to them.
Put them upside down only briefly so the water inside drains, then turn them right side up to finish drying. And change the towel often.
Try using a draining rack instead, and when most of the water has dried, polish them with a linen cloth, or at any rate one that won't leave any lint.
Try spraying a bit of lemon juice (diluted with water), that stuff takes the smell out of everything
