If you pressure wash a car's carpeted floor mat to remove road salt, how do you keep the mat from mildewing

Hang it to dry- also see if it is colorfast. If so a little bleach in the the solution kills mildew. If you pressure wash a car's carpeted floor mat to remove road salt, how do you keep the mat from mildewing

Suck as much of the water out with the vacuum at the car wash, or a wet/dry vac. Then place it outside to dry. Do not install it until it is completely dry. You can also clean the floor of the car with a vinegar and water solution to kill any mold that may be there already.
I take mine and let them sit in the sun on a asphalt driveway and they dry out pretty quick. Works good.
Hang it up to dry in the open air.
I'm assuming you can remove the floor mat to do this.

Let it dry in the sun before you put it back in your car. That should eliminate the opportunity for mildew to form.
Be careful, if you remove the carpet and pressure wash it then dry it the chances are it will shrink a little and not fit right.
