there are any number of things you can do. You can fill it up with water, add bleach and wash (without clothes)

I had this problem and called the repair man. He sai to put in a few drops of dawn detergent and run it through. It worked for awhile but came back.

Put your machine on a 90潞c program run this first with a cup of vinegar, then do the same again this time with a cup of bleach, I have to say , I use a sterilizing solution rather than bleach, I use the sterilizing solution for sterilizing new born baby麓s bottles. It cleans the machine and sterilizes at the same time
