How do u get musty mildew smell out of towels i wash with tide?

Adding 1/2 cup baking soda to water along with detergent before putting in laundry will freshen laundry and remove odors. Borax is also a good laundry booster. Using hottest water safe for fabric is also important for removing odors. Always use recommended amount of detergent. Make sure clothing is rinsed well enough to remove detergent residues. A second rinsing may be helpful.

Vinegar in the wash will work too to get the odor out if they are dark towels and you don't want to use bleach. Hot water a must. If you use vinegar, you have to wash twice.

Best if you soak them in the vinegar for a while first then wash them.

Baking soda is great for other odors, but not mold. How do u get musty mildew smell out of towels i wash with tide?
You know I have ONE towel, that smells like that and I have tried everything to get the odor out, I dont even know how it got there to begin with... -sighs- I am going to toss it out because I've tried all kinds of detergents and stuff, but its a pink beach towel so I dont dare use bleach... -sighs- I think that you just kinda have to chalk it up and get a new one...How do u get musty mildew smell out of towels i wash with tide?
Rewash, and don't like the load sit in the washer, dry it right away.
If they're white, wash them with Clorox.. If they're colors, wash them with 1/4 bottle of Lysol disinfectant and some Febreeze in the water. If that doesn't get rid of it, you may have to get new towels.
Arm and hammer baking soda
tide w/bleach. Had to go check. Yep, that'll do it.
BLEACH them
wash em in hot water %26amp; put them out on the line. be sure they are absolutely dry before you fold %26amp; put them away or the smell will return
Hot water and bleach.

Vinegar and baking powder will help eliminate some odors too. Bleach is what will kill the smelly bacteria.

good luck
2 tbsp. white vinegar in the load with the detergent.
I would put a half a cup of baking soad in with them and add more tide. Baking soda gets rid of the mildew smell without hurting of bleaching your towles.
Wash in hot or warm water with a little bit more tide than you would usually use and a big measure of scented fabric softener! :o) It doesnt matter how much fabric softener you use, as long as you dont use the whole bottle. Put in two or three capfuls if you like :)
How do you dry them? Usually that smell comes from not drying quick enough, like being left in a clothes basket after washing and still wet/damp.
